Leupold standard steel bases and rings are the most versatile of all the mounting systems we offer. The rear ring is secured by windage adjustment screws, allowing the scope's internal adjustments to be used for precise aiming.

Shims can also be used for crude elevation adjustment, reserving scope elevation adjustment for BDC (bullet drop compensation) dial applications.
